Harry Kane

£101 million take it or leave it levy ;)

Arsenal negotiation tactics 101 ;)
If we truly value Kane at 101M - then let's hope that this is our final position with a deadline of 1 week.

Levy is simply going to drag negations on and on and on hoping for a better deal. I don't blame him for this - but at the same time, we must recognize that this is Levy's nature.

At some time, failure to close an early deal is going to jeopardize our window - so make a final offer with an early deadline - and then move on 100% and refuse any subsequent offer from Levy even if under the the final deal offer. Only in this way will we be able to convince Levy that our final offer is indeed final - and if he wants to fuck around - then he can - only we won't be a participant.

Kane needs to kick off then if he wants the move.
In fairness i don't like hearing of players doing just that, regardless of what clubs it involves

You're right that it's his approach to drag things out but tbf to him this has worked for Spurs sometimes. United ended up having to fork out extra for Berbatov cos City got taken over and popped up with a higher bid at the last minute.

If a long saga is a red line for Txiki then I don't see us getting Kane. If he misses out on a move to City cos of Levy, I pity Levy. Kane will be furious I'm sure.

Levy’s negotiation tactics are a media myth.

Levy’s negotiation tactics are a media myth.

In what way? He got exactly what he wanted for Walker. We haggled all damn summer, and in the end paid what he asked on day1.

Same with Bale, he got more for him than real paid for Ronaldo

Same with Modric, he kept him when chelsea refused to pay the asking price, then sold him to real.

Claiming they are a myth is the myth.

Everything you have said is the same crap peddled by the media.

How is his buy record for such a top negotiator?

He has been lucky to have genuine world class players at his club. It’s not very hard to sell the best players.

He has negotiated Spurs into a financial hole.

Agreed. If he's such a great negotiator and businessman, how come Spurs are so fucked financially - reportedly.

So it is a myth that he is hard to buy players off of, because he (supposedly) has a bad buy record? got it.

I don't really follow what he buys or what value he gets because I'm not bothered with what team Spurs build, so you could be right. He has bought some decent players though, and the fact he quite often has such sought after players says it is more than just luck.

The discussion however is about his selling, given we are reportedly after Kane.

Nothing I've said is crap. I watched the Walker one unfold. Seen enough of the bale and modric ones to know too. He sells, sure, he doesn't hold the players. But he gets what he wants, and is happy to drag it out till he does. That is not a myth, that actually happens
