Harry Kane

Not too excited by this, as good a goal scorer as he is, just don't see him as fitting the profile, with the money he would cost, at his age, with his injury record. People claim we don't get involved in big money high profile transfers, yet we would have to with him.

Because the injuries add up. look at Rooney, by the age of 30 he was nowhere near the player he once was, we would probably have Kane at his best for 2-3 years before the injuries start to mount up and we have to look to move his wages and go back for another.
Rooney also didn’t look after himself away from the pitch and played from 16. Kane was a late developer and a brilliant professional. Not comparable imo

Always assumed that Kane would end up at United, but Cavani renewing makes that seem less likely this summer. Think United’s priorities are elsewhere (CB, CM, RW) although I guess that could change if Kane was available at the right price. Would still prefer us to go for Haaland, but Kane would be an outstanding option too. Would improve us greatly, and would be nice to have a reliable penalty taker!

Kane's lifestyle and that of Rooney are incomparable.Kane is meticulous with every aspect of his training and preparation,he is a purist and wont burn out like the slob that is Rooney.

I just think this would be a terrible signing and i'll be gobsmacked if its true.

Goals yes, but not much better than serg on the injury front and at that age where there is zero resell value. Also screw dealing with levvy...if we are splugring this kind of money there are better long term prospects.

I’m confused as to how quickly people believed the Sky report followed by how quickly some believe we are involved in any way or assume that Levy will not pull a Bartomeu and sell him low, especially to a PL team. If he goes anywhere, I would bet money on it being PSG (coach and money).

I see Chelsea buying him don’t care that there is a rivalry if there is only one club and it’s chelsea who are willing to buy him Kane wouldn’t care one bit!

Would prefer Messi for a year and then pay Haaland's release clause but that is probably fairytale stuff.

Kane would fit in well at City and score more than he does at Spurs. He'll be 28 next season so not convinced he is beyond a bit of pressing.

He'll link play well in addition to scoring, and create space for other players to score goals too.

Downsides are that he wouldn't bring searing pace but would bring those ankles.

I could see that too but still think PSG makes the most sense
