Fucking hell, that limits who we should go for then.

I didn’t say we shouldn’t sign Kane because of that. I was just commenting on how I feel about his brand.
You take Haaland for instance... his team played a domestic cup final against Leipzig this past season. Leipzig was the better team (it finished ahead of them in the Bundesliga) and had by far the better manager (going to Bayern for a reason). They still won and he scored twice. I think he will be seen as a winner in his career. I could be wrong though

Again, I never said not to buy him for this reason. But he might become the face of the team almost immediately. Let’s say we signed Calvert-Lewin... he’s not a winner and he wouldn’t become the face of our team

Who would you go for instead, realistically?

Well for the money we are talking about spending on Kane (100m+) we could go for Haaland for starters......I think just north of what we could end up spending on Kane would get us Haaland....they aint truning down 120m when he goes for 65 next year.

I would have had Andre Silva over Kane but he has now gone elsewhere.
Joax Felix is another that maybe in 12 months could be more gettable.

(Of course players like Mbappe are unrealistic but he is another one)

Id actually rather wait a year than have Kane ....I think its that bad a move - as i said he will score goals but so will most decent strikers given the chances we create....the difference in someone like Kane and prime Aguero (and I think Kane outscored Kun most seasons - so its not about pure stats) is that a prime Kun wins you a game out of nothing.....Kane doesnt.

They even mentioned on the BBC summary that such a top centre forward hasn’t won anything - he’s going to have to get very lucky to do that with Spurs, he must realise his best chance to win silverware is by signing for City.

Do you really think City haven’t considered Haaland or Mbappe?! If they’re not in for them it’s because they know they’re looking elsewhere. Kane is looking at City, which makes him so appealing to us.
