A more Pep striker there isnt,and i include current Haaland in that.

He's also a brilliant leader,something we are short on.
 
Pep obviously likes Haaland as a player & his age. City have a history of not being bent over & rinsed, mostly because of UEFA/G14 breathing down our necks with FFP.

I can see City sounding out the possibility of Haaland for summer 2022 for £65m, & getting through next season with Jesus, Delap & using false 9's. I could see us going for Kane, but not at the money Levy would want for a player Kane's age.

As someone said previously, Kane leaving has got ManUre all over it. This would be a typical marquee signing for them, with no consideration of his age or possible resale value. As we've seen, this isn't the City way.

Also I can't see Kane making it known he wants to leave Spurs & have his future sorted before the Euros, unless discussions have already been had with a potential buyer, with just a fee to be agreed with Spurs. £105m plus Lingard in this climate might just do it.

Maybe Rooney was a bad comparison, it does smell like an RVP though, he's got 2-3 years left at the top but eventually the injuries will take there toll, father time is undefeated.
 
Maybe in a wild world we are after both Haaland and Kane? Sell Jesus and Sterling or Laporte. Revamped line up for the next 10 years. Or I need to stop eating magic mushrooms ;)

Would you take the offer and b would it make us stronger? I could see Jesus playing for Spurs.

I feel like Van Persie's injury problems were much worse than Kane's.
 
Anything football related makes him an absolute must-buy. For me, he is the best striker in the world.

What also has to be considered is where he ends up if we don’t buy him. He either comes to us or goes to a direct rival.

The only reason you would allow this to happen, is because we have decided to purchase Haaland instead.

It has to be one or the other. To sign neither would be an absolute disaster.

Be cool to have the top prem scorer have Manchester City next to his name on the leaderboard as well.

Nobody on here has a clue how much he is going to cost and quite frankly I don't care if its 20m or 150m. If Pep wants him then get it done.

By all accounts spuds are in all sorts of bother because of the stadium debt etc, Levy can posture all he wants but he sells the crown jewels. He did it for Bale and Modric so will do it for Kane, he doesn't have much choice.

I envisage him signing on deadline day for 70m and Levy gets Ings on loan and says "Sorry spuds fans, no money for transfers".

The problem is we won't get him at a cut price and we can't afford to waste time all summer arguing with Levy. He is a great player in my view but he has too many injuries and he will not get any better. We need a younger player. If we have to wait for Haaland we will have to find a short-term better value option for this season. Perhaps we will go for Messi on a one-year-deal before he goes to the USA. He would be a hell of a lot cheaper than Kane. In fact he would probably pay for himself with sponsor deals etc.
