Harry Kane

I wonder if this ‘gentleman’s agreement’ includes a lower fee for giving an extra year coupled with no CL

Will Jesus want to be converted into a 4/5th choice winger when there’s a World Cup on the horizon?

Mmm good point. Not sure Spurs is what he'll want either though. Featuring regularly for a top team in the CL would be better for him surely.

He knew fine well every last gesture, bit of body language and expression would be read into, to look for signs of a goodbye.

And, he made a proper goodbye of it, didn't seem to care, didnt stick with the team, went off on his own and let himself get emotional.

So I see that as mind made up and pretty serious, and I now believe the rumours, whoever happens to have leaked them. I also partly respect that he did that, didn't try be coy or guarded. Yet to be seen if anything materialises or how quickly. I still think, if we are interested the gap will be way too big to get a deal done.

I dont understand why some would not want Kane, I just can't get my head around it. He is the modern day PL Shearer - guarantees goals and the PL title in my opinion for the next few years, an honest hardworking player and Good pro.

I also think both Sterling and Jesus will stay. There are plenty of games and ultimately they earn good money and win medals.

Sterling must be replaced surely. Kane or no Kane.

Anyone think if the Dippers lose Salah or Mane this up coming transfer window they may go for Kane ??

He was a kid, at a time when his dad was playing for us! ..this shite is what the rags spout, not us. Fantastic player, yes, but he isn’t a die hard blue destined to come home.
Was his dad playing for us a few years ago when they were at a Champions League game? Must’ve slipped past me

I don’t want him.
Because of £110m, injuries and age.
Now I know he’s only nearly 28 but those injuries are only gonna get worse the older he gets and sooner or later they’ll catch up with him, just look at Sergio now.
I think we’d get to 2-4 years out of him, for £110m, nope not for me.
I’ve made secret of the fact it’s Haaland for me, but if we couldn’t get him I’d be after someone younger and fitter than Kane.

Jesus will be converted to a winger, no way we let him go. Just because he's not become a 20 goal a season striker people are blind to the fact that he's a brilliant player.
For me, it’s the fact that he is a brilliant player that makes it a possibility. As much as we would love Spurs to be happy with £50m + Ake + Mendy + Garcia, it is highly unlikely they’re going to be hoodwinked into taking our shite. We have to bring something to the table that interests them, and that’s either a shit-tonne of money, or good money + good players (who might be willing to go there). We would never give them our top-tier players, so it’s that next level down, and the likes of Sterling and Jesus fall into that category. Sterling is never leaving us to go to Spurs in a million years, but Jesus might if he’s going there as number 1 striker.

I would like Jesus to stay with us, but if we are serious about Kane, then one way or another we have to somehow fund the deal. If Spurs are only interested in cold, hard cash that likely means we are selling at least one player of significant value to make it happen. Again, Jesus falls into that category.

He’s been here 5 years and not been converted to a winger yet .
Kane or no Kane he will be a squad player for us and back up striker as long as he’s here imo .
He won’t be suddenly be converted to a winger now .
He’s a good player Jesus and an honest lad , I can see him having a good career where ever he goes .
He’s not in Aguero or Kane’s bracket though .
I doubt he ever leads the line for us , great squad player , but wouldn’t surprise me if he wanted to move on this summer .

Levy has a deserved reputation as a tough man to negotiate with but if ever there was a good time to be a buyer of a Spurs star then it’s this summer. He can’t afford to call our bluff, Spurs need the cash and we have other options and so I can’t see a protracted negotiation lasting all summer.

I’d offer them Ake +£70m - take it or leave it. If we get Harry on the cheap then we’re not necessarily precluded from buying Haaland as well.
