Aguero was. Then Salah.

Thereafter there is a level of Kane, Mane, Vardy, who are there or thereabouts depending on the timing.

Not arguing any of them woukd be any better a signing for us to make btw.

Best striker in the league is usually the one who scores the most goals. Aguero hasnt been the best striker in the league for a good few seasons now, that on the whole has been Kane.
 
Not only do I not think Salah is strictly better than Kane, Salah is very much not a striker. Kane is top 5 strikers in the world, maybe top 3 even. Like, how are we even having this discussion, dude just finished top goalscorer & top assists with a team that finished 7th!!

It's bizzare.

You can say you think he's too old, too slow, too injury prone, not suited to our team etc but you cannot say he isn't a world class striker.

but with everything that is going on at Spurs I don’t half feel bad for daniel levy

For us? Absolutely.

If we're talking in general and speculating who would you buy as just any club between Mbappé or Kane then the answer is former. Context with wage/agent/possibility of actually getting him/playstyle etc etc is different when we're talking City.

Na, your obsession with semantics to try argue a point on technicalities says it all.

Kane is on the same level as Mane and Vardy, and below Aguero and Salah. Even arguably useless Sterling in 2 of the last 3 seasons.

Not sure why the obsession to argue he has to be proclaimes the absolute best. If you really want it so bad, he is the best English striker, that plays centrally, under the age of 30 over the height of 5.4 feet.

Of course I can. Among the best in the league, fair enough. The best, not for me, and it is subjective. World Class? Would he walk into all of the top european teams? Perhaps some, but arguably not really.

He IS a great overall player, it is not like i'm arguing he's a dud. Just that he is not what a 100m + shoukd be getting, and not the ideal signing, imo. Shock and awe in disbelief a you want, but it isn't that uncommon an opinion.

A technicality, fucking lol.

City are going to sign a striker, a centre forward, a number 9 not a fucking winger. How is that difficult to understand.

Bringing up Salah is as relevant as bringing up Grealish.

You can say that but you would be wrong. Kane is at worst the 3rd best striker in the world.

And by all means complain about the price, I have no issue with that as I said earlier. But saying he isn't good enough is just a lie.
