Harry Kane

yep, even our own beautiful Sergio definitely peaked around 23-26 and imo that was similar.. injuries mounted up and he started taking longer to get back to match fitness as although he has an incredible burst of pace he is by know means athletic. He also had a tendency to have periods of weight gain throughout his career.. much like Hazzard who has declined at an even more alarming and more premature rate.

Hazzard is a pretty good example of what could happen with Kane. Didn’t Real buy him at around exactly the same age as we are considering buying Kane? If memory serves me correctly wasn’t Hazard was showing signs off a physical drop during his last season at Chelsea? Then boom.. cliff edge.
Hard to tell with Sergio as he was a notoriously lazy trainer, but by 28 it was clear he'd lost a little bit of that explosiveness, that ability to go at the 'B' of the Bang, that 'Snap', which still didn't stop him from being great, because it was a slight drop from Elite/Olympian level, Hazzard I didn't pay much attention to but yes he'd definitely dropped off not too long after he went to Madrid.

What we need to remember is that the sports science staff monitor and log various physiological, performance and recovery indicators, so it's quite easy for them to see when something has dipped or is starting to decline, and it's not like they're going to readily hand over ALL that data to a prospective buyer.

Except of course Hazard had been shite for a while before Madrid bought him, Kane has just won the golden boot for a team that finished barely in the top 10. That is not someone on the decline.

Hazard is also a lazy **** who can't be arsed, Kane has never shown that attitude and if he joins City he is likely to get a new lease of life both physically and mentally.

Disagree.. a move can reignite a lot of things but not physically, specially pace. He was never the quickest but was quick enough. He’s had a massive drop off in pace over the course of this season.

Us signing him, Peps magic and our brilliant system will not change the fact he can’t run and he literally can’t run.

It won’t get better, it will get worse.

He never had any pace, so what has he lost?

Surely you have realised in Pep's team, pace is quite possibly the last 'asset' he looks at.

If we still want him after the Euros and we're still thinking of offloading Sterling, we should be able to insist on Kane plus £50m for Sterling. Oddly enough I doubt it will work out like that.

Not just based on the Euros. Based on the last 3 seasons. Sterling has outperformed Kane over the 3 years, has won more, affected more games, is younger and at a top club. The only thing against him is a short poor patch and the length of contract slightly less than Kane's. Which is more than offset by his age.

Kane be fresher for us than he is at spurs! You tell me why?

Don't you think if Silva was worth more and good enough a Premier league team would be in for him?
Every Premier league club can afford to pay more than 23M and none of them will get a decent striker for less than 30M this summer.
Problem is that if a Premier League Team gets involved they expected a Premier League Tax. So the 23M gonna turn into 45+. I think Andre Silva is nice and it’s sad that nobody from the prem is not picking up - but then he also failed in Milan. We‘ve also seen Haller and Jovic destroying opponents in Frankfurt so he might be the same case.

Lots of strikers have failed at Milan in recent times. I wouldn't put too much weight on his lack of success during his spell there.

Below article is just covering players who wore the 9 shirt. Apart from Ibrahimovic, who has been a resounding success as a striker at Milan during the last decade?

Not sure why he would be tired. Its not like he played a lot of games towards the end of the season. I think perhaps we're all starting to see the new Kane. Still scoring goals but age is starting to catch up on his tall frame. I think he would do well in Serie A.

Watching the Spurs Amazon documentary at the minute and it’s the part where Eriksen wants to go. Levy sits down with him and says you can go if we get £x for you.

Kane is then interviewed about it when he has gone and says ‘it’s not as simple as if you want to go then you can go, the club need to get the fee they want’.

Kane must know that Levy wouldn’t let him go even though he’s asked to leave so will be interesting to see if he’s been given encouragement from City that we’ll pay up what’s needed.

its going to be at least £100m flat imo with at least £20m add ons to make it happen.

He hasn't asked yo leave though. He has said he wants to win things, and have a conversation with his chairman.

True. We don’t know whether he has asked to leave or if he hasn’t but I do think it’s a fairer assumption he has asked to go. IMO anyway.
