Harry Kane

He would have to completely change his mindset to playing , how long would that take pep to instill, he doesnt know where the goal is , you cant train instinct or grow up overnight , i seem to be in the minority of keeping bernie instead , so be it , i am never afraid to be in the minority , ha

I want to keep Bernie and sign Grealish aswell. I’m sure Pep will know first hand what he expects to get from Grealish should we sign him, to say he plays for fouls and slows the game down is a lazy argument.

Everytime I watch him play he genuinely seems to be targeted, teams know he’s a dangerous player and would rather foul him than let him carry on and do damage.

Sadly I think today's headline in the sun has done the damage. Even if we do finally get him, no matter how much for, the average no nowt rag, dipper et al will always quote £160 million as being the price paid. One such dickhead rag told me the other day that City paid well over £90 million for KdB - I have give up trying now, I just agree with them and smile these days.
Tell them it was £200m for Kane, infact, 300m and thank them for filling up their car at the petrol station for their contribution.

Its not a minority to want to keep Bernardo. He doesn't want to be here it seems. So you sell him and move on.

On his debut against Spurs, he scored after coming on as a sub in the last 10 mins but was ruled out for offside, we drew 2-2

5 games later we played United at home, 0-0, he came of the bench & scored what we thought was the winner at the end but was disallowed for offside

(I'm jesting but these 2 really stick in head)
Haha yeah I'm sure it's happened, it's just the narrative was that it was a recurring issue that had cost us enough times to be a problem.

You cannot ignore his technique and instinct for goals were still there , the injuries didnt finish him, as i say he will bang them in for at least another season
I didnt ignore his technique or his instinct. But I am also not ignoring the 26 league games he missed last season

Maybe the Kane deal is on but is worth £160m? £100m for Kane plus one of our players valued at £60m? I agree its bs for it to be a straight buy at £160m but...

I would be reluctant to go into the new season without a striker and I’m sure I’m not the only one. Lewandowski, at 32, would be a relatively short term signing whilst Ings would be unlikely to command mega wages or a vast transfer and might be happy to share the cf position if a big name were to come in at some point. Ideally, we would sign Haaland and Mbappe tomorrow but that seems beyond unlikely unfortunately. I have been watching football for a few years now and have noticed that generational talents seem to come along every couple of years (not at the Messi level obviously). Again, only an opinion as a KFA long term supporter.
But Kane, at 28, is four years younger than Lewandowski and is far superior to Ings. It seems pretty clear that Mbappe won't come, which brings us back, down the circuitous route, to Haaland, who the top brass, for whatever reason, are unwilling to entertain...which leaves Kane.

he’s a upgrade on Bernardo is all I’m saying.

scores more
Assists more
Creates more chances then Bernado

all whilst playing with championship level players.

But you're also ignoring the positives that Bernardo brings and totally disrespecting him as a player.

On the Kane thread, too.

Crap mate, Bernardo is a great talent, fantastic work horse and a great man on and off the pitch.

Grealish flatters to deceive, I think he would be a terrible signing, but each to their own, but comparing him to David Silva is just plain wrong and you lose credibility in doing so.

Surely no one is comparing Grealish to David Silva, no one is that fcuking dull

Kane coming here doesn't overly excite me but there is no doubt we need a striker so I wouldn't be disappointed to see him here.

Mahrez and Sterling actually chip in well with goals for wingers but we need a central striker who can regularly get 25+ a season. Jesus if he stays is okay as back up but I think we know by now we need an upgrade. If Kane comes hopefully in the next few years a couple emerge from the under 23's to slot in.
