He is nowadaysGoing to get absolutely, categorically crucified for saying this (I'd expect no less as this is a Man City forum) but Kane is better than Agüero.

Well Kane right now is better than Aguero right now so I'm not sure what is controversial about it.You shouldn't get crucified, but those that do will no doubt quote a "prime Aguero"
Today he is.Going to get absolutely, categorically crucified for saying this (I'd expect no less as this is a Man City forum) but Kane is better than Agüero.
My initial reaction was to tell you to leave the drugs alone for a while. But no, go on I'll bite, explain your 'reasoning' for such a statement ...

Oh, I agree. If he said Kane has always been better then I would have been first in the queue to berate it.Well Kane right now is better than Aguero right now so I'm not sure what is controversial about it.
Unless he is saying that Kane is better than prime Aguero which is bollocks and so far from reality that I weep a little inside.
Totally missing my point. He may score goals but I have never ever seen him have a game where he has been the best player on the pitch. Yes he scores goals but his overall game has never impressed me, it’s my opinion. The rags had Van Nistlerooy, who scored loads, but his overall game was also great. I remember watching him against Leverkusen (I think) and I have never seen a better centre forward performance. With Kane i just don’t see that. So you can quite and belittle me again but I really don’t care
Not at present, purely based on the goals stats. In 19 goals time he will over take Aguero in the PL scoring ranks, and could very go on to be all time PL scorer, especially if he comes here. He's only got 13 fewer assists than Aguero, too. What he doesn't have, however, is a goal in 93:20 to secure a title - yet..Going to get absolutely, categorically crucified for saying this (I'd expect no less as this is a Man City forum) but Kane is better than Agüero.
True but the more you spend the bigger the risk. And i was responding to urban genies post where he was trying to define why so many blues are not keen on Kane. .The only ones that think that are those that think Soriano, Khaldoon , Berrada are profligate and reckless with our finances.I don't.
All valid points but I don’t want Kane as I have never seen him play and thought “my god he is world class”. There are forwards who you think, yeah he is special, like Sergio, Kane is not one of them. Granted I don’t watch him a lot and if we get him I may be wrong but it’s a no from me.
He doesnt just score goals, he scores a shit load of goals. More goals than any other player in the league. If he does that for us then we are in for a few special years with him.Totally missing my point. If Kane wasn't from Spurs but was doing what he does at Bayern, for example, would you want him then? I do get the impression many Blues aren't excited about him because he's just a player in the PL who we all see week in, week out. Almost feel like is isn't a coup. If he was at Bayern the last 5 years and had this record, I think many would see it as a coup and be more upbeat about it.All valid points but I don’t want Kane as I have never seen him play and thought “my god he is world class”. He's either worth it or he isn't. Cost is irrelevant.True but the more you spend the bigger the risk. And i was responding to urban genies post where he was trying to define why so many blues are not keen on Kane. .
I am pretty confident that if we paid £80m for him those in favour of him joining would be over 80%, but given most blues think Spurs are going to want significantly more than £100m taht figure is going to drop alot.
Right now I'd agree, especially seeing Aguero missed most of last season through injury. Had he not been so injury prone I think it's fair to say kun would still be here.Going to get absolutely, categorically crucified for saying this (I'd expect no less as this is a Man City forum) but Kane is better than Agüero.

And?
Well that's one of the things that this forum is for is it not? For fans to discuss the value of players and their worth to the club amongst other things.
Its what fans have done and will continue to do as long as football exists.
Are you suggesting we all sit in silence and just wait for the club to make a signing and then nod approvingly?
Of course cost is relevant.
Spend all your pocket money on Harry Kane, and you have no shillings left if Jack Grealish is suddenly available on the threpenny tray.
To be fair Kane and Lewandowsky are very similar. If Kane wasn't from Spurs but was doing what he does at Bayern, for example, would you want him then? I do get the impression many Blues aren't excited about him because he's just a player in the PL who we all see week in, week out. Almost feel like is isn't a coup.
