There's still plenty of room for speculation re targets though. I am more than happy with way we conduct business but in this window alone we could potentially have gone for Mess, Ronaldo and if certain reports were to believed, Lewandowski as well.
Ally that with the fact that we have already broken the British transfer record with young Jack and are set fair to do it again with Sir Harold.

There’s never been a conveyor belt of talent coming through all the time through the decades at those clubs, and there hasn’t been anywhere else they’ve got a lot of money to put into their academies neither.

Phil Foden, by pure chance, just happened to be born with innate talent. He’s said just recently that he’s had a ball at his feet from when he could walk, he used to have a ball at his feet all the time, he’d dribble the ball to the shops to get milk for his Mother, he’d be out in the street playing football until it got dark… he was already a very talented kid before City even managed to scout him. He just happens to have been born in the local area and happens to be a City fan.

Exactly. united have hardly been pulling up trees regarding their youth since they got lucky with Giggs, Beckham and co, all coming through at the same time(and fuck me, they aint half dined on it, and use it as a stick to belittle other youth systems, including ours). In fact, they've probably got more players than anyone making a career for themselves elsewhere. A lot of luck(and natural talent)goes a long way when it comes to making it.
 
If it is that big of a fucking deal to him let him buy the number off of Grealish. Offer saucy Jackie £20k for the 10 shirt.

It isn't unheard of for players joining a team to attempt to "purchase " their favoured number from a teammate. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't work.

Makes sense that he'd be annoyed if it was offered to him as it hardly looks like the foundations of a trusting future relationship. Add that to the fact we are fannying about with finalising the transfer and it must be a frustrating situation for Kane.
