I haven't refreshed this thread much this summer but to peg the Maguire transfer being held up on Otamendi is down right laughable. When you sign a player to an extension not but a summer past and then get anxious about trying to force him out goes completely against how we run things.

Seems like 100% fake news as usual.

Typical media with this bullshit about Nico holding up the transfer. This one has next summer written all over it.

Our entire squad each plays thousands of minutes and nearly all get identical appearances outside of Walker/Laporte so it gets misconstrued that our players get cast off to the bench. We don’t have a first 11.

Nico will log nearly 3000 minutes next season. Only Laporte will push 4000/4500 in defense.

Stones usually only gets around 2500. Plenty of game time for Otamendi. Personally he’s still first choice for me but obviously you phase him out for stones like we started doing last season.

4300, 2800, 2500, 1800 for Laporte, stones, Nico, and Kompany last term. Garcia logs 1100 and stones/Nico split the 700. Simple enough baring big injuries.

This is a jump up very few players make,into an established pep team,we saw how Mahrez has struggled coming from the same team,i hope he does very well because that means we do well but don't be surprised if he takes a season to settle,Herman is just a nickname,if we had got JFE we would have still called him JFE,humour innit lol
