No one said Stones or anyone else was perfect, I’m more than well aware of Stones mistakes, so I fail to see the relevance. I simply highlighted two clips out of the first minute or two of Maguire's highlights to show the previous poster (who now doesn’t want to discuss it because it contradicts his opinion that Maguire is the centre back version of Pirlo), that Maguire isn’t perfect and his short passing game needs to be improved.

i understand that, all i can say is international football is totally different from the premier league, Vinny started out as a midfielder, then switched to central defender and the rest is history, so natural positions work for some in a team set up and not for others.

Fernandinho has filled in at centre back on a few occasions. That doesn’t mean he’s a centre back. Zinchenko is very young and seems intelligent enough to play a number of positions. I wouldn’t discount him from playing in the centre for ANY team. I think he may surprise a few.
