Hart and Sterling out for 4/5 weeks.

we have had joe and sterling all season fat lot of good thats done us not picking on them individualy, just saying they have been as garbage as the rest

Just me who thinks it's strange that the manager was able to provide us with a prognosis of 3-4 weeks immediately after the game finished? And just coincidence that they are both in the exact same boat?

With every other injury we've picked up, we've been told to wait for results of a scan (usually 2 days after match day). I wonder why that's not the case this time.

Like I said in my earlier post there's more to this ie England call ups, wouldn't be surprised if both of them are fit to play next league game

And we're only still in the Champions league because of Sterling and Hart...

So, yeah, they're both useless, you are right.

Gutted for Raheem, had him down to be my MOTM yesterday. Thought he'd be able to have a real go at them.
He was. Until he went off he was our biggest threat in an otherwise woeful forward line (including Aguero, I am afraid). There's only so much you can do with everyone around you missing nearly every run you make and sending under hit passes to you that require you to stop and contemplate your next move. Not to mention 3-4 defenders to beat just to get in the penalty box so you can beat one or two more and the keeper.

Our tactics, system, and overall form are a huge hindrance to his abilities (and Aguero's, really). We just don't leverage either of their talents like we once did.

It's one of the main disappointments for the season for me—if not for such poor coaching and planning the Sterling of the first five games would have been the Sterling of the last 25. His potential has been squandered this year. I really believe we are going to see a completely different Raheem next season.

At least nasri is back and possibly de bruyne so may be a blessing in disguise if sterling is out (people were moaning about him when he was fit and he's not really a game changer) it's Joe who is the big loss. Ah well caballero it is

It goes to pens against PSG then we're sorted ;-)

Hopefully we can take PSG to penalties :)

Hart’s injury was a slow motion microcosm of the whole season.

Slowness of thought, slow pass, slow reaction, even slower return pass, quick opponent, stretcher.

If Joe is going to be out for 4 to 5 weeks we need to give Cabellero as much protection as possible, time for experienced heads and i'm sure Pelle wishes he could call on someone like a 35 year old world cup finalist :)

Joe has saved us loads of points,he is not the problem
I genuinely don't understand the criticism of Hart. I keep hearing his distribution is shite, but I've been watching games more closely because of it, and I just don't get it. There are times when he could have given the ball quickly to a defender, but if you look in front of that defender, there's fuck all - no real movement, no midfielders making runs ahead of that defender. This absolutely has to do with tactics. You watch our midfield when Hart gets the ball from say a corner or a free kick, and no one immediately makes a run forward. Every fucking player, bar Aguero, just turns around and ambles to the middle of the park. If he kicks long to Aguero, we're just hoping for him to do it on his own. It's just bollocks.

Not what I've been watching..... His distribution, although not the worse, is predictable, if that's a tactical mishap then so be it, however, he needs to use his bloody head... I've lost count the amount of times he hits Aguero giving possession away needlessly... He dwindles on the ball far to much, his saving grace will be that Pep will encourage a culture of playing out from the back....

I think thats coached, hit it far and the team has time to recover the ball in the opposition area even if aguero doesn't win the ball initially, shorter passes are significantly more dangerous statistically.

Well, he plays 70% of a game with his back to the goal so it won't be completely alien to Wilf

It's just the other 30% - would he turn round and start looking at the fans in the SS or the NS and wonder what's goin' on!

70% of game with back to opposition goal
25% of game in the process of turning towards opposition goal
4% not cathcing up with play ambling towards opposition goal
1% facing opposition goal with hands on hips
