Has anyone actually ever worked for City?

I've got some! It's in the kitchen cupboard. I used to take a flask of it to the women's games 'cos those kiosks stopped selling it. After a reply to "How could we make your matchday experience better?" they started selling it again!!
I bought 150 cups off Amazon and took one to the match and asked them to put hot water in them. Three games later, they re-instated it. Cost was about a quarter of the Stadium price.

When I was a kid my Dad sold programmes at Maine Road north stand and I helped out or if I got bored I’d have a wonder about. Best memories. Remember going to the cash office every match when my dad would cash in the earnings which was near the tunnel and there was always a really strong smell of deep heat. My grandad sold them too he was a couple of blocks away.

Saw this job (CFG, as opposed to "pure" City) but what a job it would be. Can imagine we are great employers

Has anyone here ever worked for City?

You would think they would have headhunted someone for that. Massive Job.

Not too many qualified for it either I would think..

No - it was from a United fan who works for City (!)

In answer the points people make about knowing fans who work there, to be fair it probably depends on the role. If you are working the checkout in the club shop or manning the phones in the ticket office they probably don't care. If you are director of marketing they might want you to be more dispassionate.
I used to make ads for City for a few years.

Copycat :)

I can't properly remember how the scratchcard thingies worked.
Think they used to post them out on tick and when you'd sold them all you gave them the money minus anyone's winnings.
I got loads of people at college addicted to them which paid for my season ticket, but i seem to recall it gave us extra dibs on tickets for important games like during the '81 cup run.
My memory is didn't get cash got tickets for matches including away games if you dold enough.
No surprise Mr Swales didn't give much cash away LOL

No, but I heard that the club doesn't like to hire fans as it thinks it could cloud your judgement (and they need you to make the correct decision, not what you think as a fan). I also understand this is a not uncommon position amongst many clubs.
Yes, we hire staff to serve pints behind the bar and encourage them to wear rag shirts on derby day
