I know one who I used to go to College with. Has been a season ticket for a good few years but used to support United, guess it's just a cheaper way to enjoy Prem footie (and one less rag which is always a bonus).

So; that's three fans then?

Great fans.
Support their local team when the gloryhunting United/City/Liverpool/Everton option would be so, so easy, especially given the geography.
Ignore the dreary empty seat pisstakes and keep supporting their team and manager despite regular hammerings.
If only their chairman wasn't such an idiot and United arselicker

It's not meant as a criticism at all but I find it strange that at 50 years old and having lived in the North West all my life I've never met a supporter of Wigan which is less than 20 miles from where I live

Don't know any personally but I met a damn sight more Wigan fans at the services on Saturday than when we played the rags, and that's no word of a lie.

Why are you surprised you met more Wigan fans going to see Wigan than you would have met Wigan fans going to see United?
Sorry, should have been clearer, I met more Wigan fans at the services for their semi in 2013 than rags when we played the rags in our semi-final in 2011. The point I'm making is that a hell of a lot more Wigan fans travelled from the north than the rags did. The vast vast majority of Wembley tickets for them lot must end up in the hands of their southern fanbase.

That scenario rings a bell. ;)

I've never met a Bolton fan, know lots of rags, lots of City fans, blue dippers, red dippers, a few Wigan fans, Stockport fans, a couple Oldham fans and a Celtic fan. Weird.
