Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

What is the figure that we think is needed? I personally think 16 is the time to put it on . I will set it to 20 then turn it off when the kids go to bed . If I had no kids I would go to the boozer and come home with a curry and not need any heating.
Yep that’s what we do, upstairs is a lot colder and my daughter spends a lot of time up there so we stick it on fir an hour.

Today is testing me ,14 indoors but staying wrapped up , mind you my dd has been wacked up today so i dont know if it is worth using some heating , my head is fucked trying to work out the energy business and dd and credits etc

I'm looking at it like this: government is giving me £2 per day, DD was £90, total approx £5/day. I'm comfortable spending this as it leaves us no worse off. We're lucky that we have a large credit as well that we can eat into if it gets really cold. It's a 2 bed apartment that faces south so it's getting to around 24c in our living area if the sun shines as it is now. It has to be really cold outside for it to go below around 17c overnight.
