Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

Not the heating but
my mrs is Thai and cold in one of our heatwaves so
the electric blanket was put on for a few hours before we slept last night
i was pissed and bedded down by about 9pm ,so i dont know how long she left it on last night

Put mine on for 2 hours yesterday. Was 11c outside. Ridiculous for Aug.
Spare a thought for my mate who lives in what must be the coldest Pennine spot. Log burner 365 days a year.

No, they turn everything off and bugger off to Espania for the winter. Dont know if they can get a rebate on council tax but it seems to be worth it.
After Dec 31st they won’t.
The EU 90 day rule will put an end to it.
Non EU citizens can only stay for 90 days in a 180 day period.
So go in January 2021 and you have to leave by End of March and cannot return until July.

Been on and off all frigging week - 9 degrees at 3pm here in N Yorks - fucking August. The weather is so mental I expect to spend a socially distanced Xmas day in my trunks on the beach at Whitby.

Meanwhile off for a few days in a caravan down south tomorrow - never, ever felt less like going away to be honest - at least Bournemouth beach and Durdle Door won't be packed ha ha ha
