Has football finally gone mad?

Think the same was said when Trevor Francis became the first £1M player.

If TV and sponsors keep pumping billions into football then it's better that most of the money is spent on players than some unscrupulous owners siphoning off most of it, though there will always be an element of that.

Would be better if the fans got a slice of the pie mind!

Problem is we could all say we refuse to buy tickets or subscribe to Sky / BT... But the PL probably now makes shed loads more money by selling the 'brand' and TV rights overseas. They weren't looking to take match 39 around the world just for a jolly

Annoys me how clubs can spent millions on a player but cant make our tickets cheaper. Over the course of a season it cant total to that much and it might even encourage me to buy a pint and a pie in the ground

It has gone mad, but it's the price of tickets, merchandise, stadium food, etc that has become ridiculous and completely unfair.
