Re: Time to expand the ground
Chelsea always had a reputation for attracting the rich and famous even before Abromavich. Less scope to build on their success.
I dont think its just a success thing. We have a huge appeal now just because of the way the season ended. Not just the last day but the massive derby immediately before.
But I agree its too soon to be expanding the ground.A couple of seasons when its hard to get a ticket will also boost the appeal for corporates.

Think of all the recent success Chelsea have had, they didn't really see any change in match day attendance; they're only just looking at moving grounds now, well and truely after the honeymoon period that would have 'netted' plenty of the fairweather fans and turned them into revenue streams.
I'm not sure how well it's worked at Arsenal, i've been in both the league and the cup and neither time was the ground full. They also attract a completely demographic of fan than we do.
Personally i've yet to see anything to convince me that we need a bigger ground, or would even benefit much from increased capacity.
