Has Manchester lost too many of it's old pubs in town

I wanted to check the average pint price vs the average wage going back say 50 years by decade, but the internet's just a shitty bundle of advertisements now.
A pint of "heavy" @ Centre One Tax Office Social Club in East Kilbride cost 17p in 1976. About 20p in the pubs. I can't remember what my wage @ East Kilbride District Council was.

Just into decimilisation, so 1974 ? A pint of bitter was 20 pence in The Garricks Head, Flixton. Maybe 1975 but I can't remember how much I got for my paper round.

When Wetherspoons opened the “Sedge Lyn” in Chorlton in 1999 they were selling a pint for 99p. It was about £2 a pint in other pubs.

The Bulls Head on the corner of London Road/Fairfield Street - has that closed down now??

We somehow derailed th media thread with chat about Branigans, the cellar bar in the Royal Exchange.
Was then chatting with an old mate tonight about the legendary Horts in St Anne’s Square.
Both MASSSIVE blue strongholds of the 80s/90s.
My maye was a proper red but he remembered the place next to Horts, was called Ronnie’s. A late gaff
And of course the Cyprus/Conti which again were City gaffs

I live round the corner. They call it ‘The Man Creche’.
Old ladies who still work in nursing or care drop off their husbands in the morning for the ‘breakfast’ and pick them up at 4-5pm.
Yep

Used to drink in the Grafton Arms at lunchtime in the 1980s when I worked at the University of Manchester. What a pub for guys selling ‘knock off’ gear!! Every day it was like the QV channel with meat, electrical appliances, toiletries etc. Anyone remember this?
