Has Manchester lost too many of it's old pubs in town

The modernization of the Crown and kettle is sad. It used to be one of my favourite old style pubs in Manchester, now it's similar to any other bar in northern quarter. The old style wooden interior has been ripped out and replace with metal shelving. Sad.

Cask down Liverpool Street is good, still got an old school vibe to it.

New bars/pubs pop up as older, more traditional ones close down.

Like those 7 brother ones, not my cup of tea personally but they are rammed pretty much whenever I've gone past one of them. A few newer ones that I go to and quite like are Cask (one on the canal next to pollen bakery) and the piccalilly Tap (I know it's been there ages). They'll stand the test of time I reckon.

Yea I love Cask, something about corner door pubs I like . I also like the new Cask in Ancoats, it’s great on the way back from the game for a couple of German beers
