Jolly Angler gone from the list since also.
Perhaps for the same reason that fewer and fewer older people are now alive after being sacrificed in the Covid early days.Fewer and fewer folk want 'old style' pubs.
The jolly angler was lost to developers. The price of land in Manchester is ridiculous. An old boozer or a 50 storey block of flats, owned by a Chinese billionaire and rented to the young at stupid prices who then wonder why they can't get on the property ladder.Jolly Angler gone from the list since also.
Walking down deansgate yesterday and saw The Deansgate and Knott Bar are both closed. Only Altas Bar still open in that little triangle and it was busy
It has and Knott bar is going to be an Italian restaurant. The Deansgate has been bought by Green King I think so will reopen.

Yea I love Cask, something about corner door pubs I like . I also like the new Cask in Ancoats, it’s great on the way back from the game for a couple of German beersThe modernization of the Crown and kettle is sad. It used to be one of my favourite old style pubs in Manchester, now it's similar to any other bar in northern quarter. The old style wooden interior has been ripped out and replace with metal shelving. Sad.
Cask down Liverpool Street is good, still got an old school vibe to it.
