Has Nasri been our biggest loss?

A fully fit Samir Nasri that is playing in the same form that he was when we bought him from Arse n' hole is a great player to have. A lethargic and apathetic Samir Nasri that turns it on when he can be bothered is a total waste of space. He isn't any use being out injured either!
This is always the big 'if' when it comes to Nasri, despite my glowing praise above. You don't know which player is going to turn up and thats always been the main problem with him.

Be interesting to see if we sell him in the summer, if as expected Pep comes in, perhaps he will like his ball possession skillset and could maybe get a new lease of life under him.

I'm sorry that players having a healthy mental attitude is so offensive to you.

I don't see that attitude as healthy whatsoever, I want the players to care about bad results not forgot about them as soon as they hit the motorway, I don't see how players thinking to themselves ah well its only a game is an attitude you find acceptable

A lot of people will deny it until they are blue in the face because he is a favourite scapegoat and whipping boy at this club.
However, Nasri was a vital part of both our title wins, particularly the 2nd one and his ability to hold possession in attacking areas is second to none.
When he is at his best (and that isnt always) his give-and-go movement around the box is also sublime.
Yes, he doesn't work hard enough defensively but nor do any of our forwards - thats not a fault that lies with him alone.
He isn't the most consistent or energetic player in the world, but he is a vital cog in the style we play and I think some of our performances have suffered from not having him available.

I agree. I think he brought out the best in Silva too. Having said that, injuries have done for him now and we need a replacement. DeBruyne and Sterling are not it.

By far our most underrated player (probably since the takeover), as seen in this thread.

People forget how good he has been in some of our biggest ever games.
By far our most underrated player. His 13/14 season was excellent and he was great at crucial times last season too.
