Has the BBC become a Tory tool?

I've just seen this on Twitter and I apologise for slighting this female pundit earlier:

Jermaine Jenas, Mark Chapman, Alex Scott, Ian Wright, Alan Shearer & Micah Richards have all ruled themselves out of Saturday’s Match of The Day in solidarity Gary Lineker. How long before show is taken off air? Can’t be many options left to hand.
To be fair the pundits are often the worst thing about the show. Just show the highlights of each game, some post match interviews and move on.

David will explain how Newcastle's recent poor form is because Almirón is a lizard.

Never got the hate for Lineker.

He is bright, witty and crucially for me, doesn’t appear to have been egregiously diminished by fame. He also has a regional accent in a world that is replete with posh boys. Would say, given what his dad did for a living, he was working class - and we need more genuinely working class presenters at the BBC. The BBC is tediously bourgeois. And if I’m saying that, fuck me it must be bad.

Think he’d be seriously engaging company on a night out. I would say he was very well read. Think I’d really enjoy his company.

Some say he’s ‘smug’. Just don’t see that. And I spend my working day surrounded by smug cunts.

Mate of mine was in Lineker’s company on a piss-up 20 or so years ago. Said he was an “absolute disgrace“. And amazing company.

That‘ll do for me.

wait until the viewing figures tumble and more people decide to not pay the license fee
Do people really care who the presenter and pundits are? Personally I always record MOTD, and fast forward all the chat and just watch the highlights. I am fascinated with who gets the gig this weekend though, they will either be very brave or very stupid.

Then they’ll have an even greater excuse to sell it off cheap to party donors.

given the way it was lurched right under Sharp and Gibb and how the news is presented and todays events ( and I never thought I'd think this ) great - lets do it - turn it into a subscription service and let us make it worthless
