Has the BBC become a Tory tool?

I thought you were in Malaysia now. Got to be more hassle getting MOTD on than watching the free Astro highlights.

BTW, if you're still there, get on Sooka. 12 quid a month for everything except the EFL Cup.
Astro is wank. I put up with it only for the live City games.

My TV runs through a DNS and thus believes it’s in the U.K. so I have all the U.K. tv apps like BBC, ITV, NowTV etc etc.

Funny a fuck watching all the Lefties getting upset at cancel culture.

You're falling for the left vs right culture war which is what this Government wants.

If you believe that 'the left' is in favour of a cancel culture then I'd question what you've been reading.

I suspect they did “have a quiet word“ and were politely told to fcuk off.

Quiet words and carefully worded statements from both sides would have been the only way to stop this escalating.

It will be interesting to see who blinks first.
This is already much bigger than just Match of the Day but about the impartiality of the propaganda wing of the self-servatives that will bring a whole new level of scrutiny on the upper echelons, political editors and presenters that they REALLY don't want.

Well done Bristol Rovers who were the first to come out and actually say they would not be doing interviews before or after their game today.

I see the BBC have said they will not be requesting interviews at any grounds. I'd loved to have seen who did respond and say no and who didn't! I bet Karren Brady at West Ham would have made sure that they cooperated with the BBC and made their manager and players be interviewed!!

Given the TV commentators are presumably not going, I wonder who would have done the interviews at PL matches.

Like Neville and others, Lineker uses his media profile to air political views. I've no problem with that. He works for a national broadcaster though and so there is a difference. Jump to itv or go back to BT and no problem for me. But you don't get two be in BBC as it is and use it to sell your own message.

Personally I wouldn't employ anyone who refused to work on the football today if they were contracted to. Give opportunity to others and let them find their feet. Let the football be the product, not the personality. Not that there's a single person I'd miss from the list of people who have withdrawn.

Potential to be the least biased and most informative motd in years if they manage it right.
It was perfectly acceptable for him to highlight Human Rights abuses in Qatar during the World Cup both on Social Media and on the BBC but when he highlights proposed Human Rights abuses in the United Kingdom by the party his director general and governor bankroll it becomes a problem about "impartiality"
Blatant hypocrisy from the propaganda wing of the self-servatives.
