Full on snowstorm in Middleton last night with thunder and lightening, so I now know what thundersnow is...

It's really quite bad in Sheffield. Given me an excuse to fuck off work and uni though so all is good.

It must be snowing in Manchester as my flight from Schiphol this afternoon was cancelled..

Given a free night at the Van Der Valk hotel nearby but I am taking my chances and trying to get back to Brum at 8:30 uk time

Weather forecast there when we're due in is more bloody snow

Just been snowing very, very heavily here in Whalley Range although it's still that wet on the ground it wasn't sticking although it started hailing as well.

When did this thing start about people going home early and schools closing??

I went to primary school from 1979-1985 and literally never had school close because of snow. Secondary from 1985-1990 and it closed once because the boiler broke.

And as for companies closing early, because it's not safe to get home... Ffs, get a fucking grip... It's England, not Norway!!
