Hated Footy Phrases...

Fucking hate it when it's rained/is raining and it's now 'a greasy surface' - no it's fucking not, it's wet/slippy.

Stelling's phrase 'that...is..for...sure'

David Pleat's co-commentary.

Butchered every single name last week.

Zekko. Nasrey. Cliché.

I detest David Pleat even before anything comes out of his mouth.
Then, when it does, I hate him even more!

'Should have put his foot through it.' What, burst the fucking thing?

As opposed to "he should have hit it with his laces". Is their time to unthread them? Would the ball move? My god!

And "it's not good for English football to see Liverpool/Rags/Arsenal/Spurs/Villa not competing for the title". Which teams should NOT be competing for the title; MK Dons; Scunthorpe; Bury?

What do you expect with footballers? Almost to a man they are half literate morons. Even the supposed better ones that arrive on the media scene are little better.

Most start every reply to any question with 'Yeh, No ......'

Gerrard starts his replies with ' Yeh, course ....'

I can think of only 2 that I could possibly have a sensible conversation with rather than listen to numerous interjectons of ‘obviously' 'er....' and 'Yeh, No....' and they are Gary Lineker and Matt Holland.

Perhaps worse than the stupid footballer are the ones who think they are educated and learned, with Clark Carlyle being the best at that. His oratary is akin to a man hanging around the magistrates' court on a Monday dressed in a suit; try as he might, he is kidding nobody and is clearly a criminal, or in Clark's media case, a spruced up fool.

What really winds me up is when they say he's "put in a good shift". No he hasn't. He has run around for 90 minutes and not clocked in at 6am, had half an hour for dinner then finished at 6pm.
