The sad fact is that when your 10th in the prem league your closer to the 3rd div than you are the top 4, in terms of what you need to get there. City are the posterchild of that, even though its the likes of Liverpool the rags and UEFA that set up this system. The bitterness is aimed at us, but we shouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Other than that fair play to the Norwich fans, I didn't see or hear any abuse after the game, indeed the team coach was mobbed by their supporters without a hint of bad feeling(Mario got a great cheer!)

Only on the internet could a Norwich fan who watched the game in a pub in Norwich slag off the Norwich fans who went to the game as being plastic without realizing what a knobjockey that makes him sound.
I checked that site last night,It would appear that there was only 2 fans responding to each other.. Very funny...

Norwich fans I know are just pleased to be in Prem next season that was their goal anything else is a bonus. They don't like the London teams especially the arsenal but are gracious enough to tell you even against them that Arsenal played them off the park with fantastic football. Generally they have a good alround knowledge of the game and don't like any team dominating any league. I suppose it gives all fans hope that their team can also one day qualify for Europe. Been selling their ground out for years even when in the lower reaches of 2nd division.

I've asked this question before, where do people park in order to have these incredibly long waits to get away? I live near Parrswood, near the A34 and I've done it 35 mins after full time before now. If you get a mile from the ground on foot the traffic is already so difuse as to make scarcely no difference.

Maybe it'll ease when the trams start coming through? who knows.

They're probably going over the Mancunian way which is bloody crazy (as in the roads) after a match as it can be blocked up for hours.

I know it's a bit of a side issue on this thread but if I want know a reflection on how fans feel about city in general I always look to our away following. The support for Mancini yesterday was very noticeable and great to hear which tells me that these Mancini outers are probably pub goers and keyboard warriors.

Back to topic Norwich away has always been a great day out. Friendly with a cracking atmosphere. Only thing that was missing yesterday was Delia's half time team talk.

Norwich fans were brilliant yesterday, reminded me of the Fulham fans abit, proper family club. And they stayed till the end and clapped there players off just as much as we did.

I've never found many Blues to boo or jeer our Manager during the match. I hated Keegan with a passion but never once made this known whilst the game was on. I was there to watch City.

I'm sure I'll be corrected by someone who went to Carrow Road if I'm wrong, but from what I could see on the box, the home fans stayed until the end despite seeing their team pummelled. Sadly, this wouldn't have happened at out place if we'd won 6-1, never mind lost! Chapeau!

Fair point although I do have to say the match reminded me of City V Arsenal at Maine Rd 2003 where we lost the game 1-5. Nobody left that game early. I think that City fans left believing we had seen a world class display from Henry and co and we simply couldn't compete but even at 5-1 down we never threw the towel in. I think Norwich fans were the same. The players did them proud, their heads didn't drop and I think their fans appreciated the football played in front of them by both sides.
