Short sighted..2 x top 5 finishes in 3 years... as a PLAYER manager...what were some thinking wabting him out..deluded!Majority of blues were happy to be rid of him.
Even though we were eventually relegated under Horton.

Exactly...that was a terrible appointment..look ar our record post Reids 5 5 and 9..amazing really. If he could have got a good man next to him..McNab maybe...he would have turned round the 9th place finish in his last year.. I think some ageing players your right BUT he understood the game did Reid...He was on a huge downward trajectory
Once the aging '"Kendal" players were no longer useful and Reid became his own man, that was when he could really be judged
However I was told that it was Ellis City wanted rid of and Reid said "if he goes, I go"
As for Ellis, I asked Edgehill about him once, and he confirmed that Ellis was a bully and complete twat
As my colleague used to say: “That is on the Wirral, not scouse.” She was from Birkenhead!Joe Mercer was from Ellesmere Port..
Yes. Horton did well for us, I reckon. We weren’t relegated under Horton he left at the end of the season Franny didn’t get his man and Ball came along the rest is history
I’ve always found earplugs help enormously.I’ve worked with the scousers for 15 years
Best thing I ever did was get one of those universal translators from Amazon
Just a tiny device that slots in one of your ears.
Brian who…Yes. Horton did well for us, I reckon.
This year’s Nobel prize for Mathematics goes to……………..Tesco.There are loads in my daughter’s Saturday league.
All think they know the game.
I’ve seen empty carrier bags with more knowledge.
Fans didn't want the shite hoofball he thurned us into once Kendalls squad was remoulded, he allowed ellis in who no one from the club or stands liked.Short sighted..2 x top 5 finishes in 3 years... as a PLAYER manager...what were some thinking wabting him out..deluded!
Lennon.Joe Mercer was from Ellesmere Port..
Agreed Ellis was Toxic also... I did like Reid's desire to get the ball wide quickly then get balls played quickly for Quinn to attack..very Kendal esque of course but i still think Reid did a decent job and I saw most of his wins - his ratio was around 50% i think. Best manager we have had before Pep was 'skip' ...we had a great side 77/78...should have won the league!Fans didn't want the shite hoofball he thurned us into once Kendalls squad was remoulded, he allowed ellis in who no one from the club or stands liked.
bringing ricky holden after selling Hughes irked many fans as sid freezing out Clive Allen and Hendry.
The reason Horton is still well liked by blues is he tried to entertain at least even though we were still wank, Reids tactics sucked the life out of games at times, again I blame ellis more but Peter stuck by him.
Sinbad, started his career in the brookside chippy then ended up as kebab house manager in coronation st.InLennon.
That's about it
Genuinely can’t think of any. Where was Wilf Wild from?Has there been a good Mancunian manager? Possibly Mark Robins!
