Have there ever been any good Scouse managers?

Can’t believe nobody has said about Howard Kendall. Born in Southport which is in the borough of Sefton on Merseyside. Great great manager and we’d have won something in my opinion if he’d stayed long enough.
I’m not saying this is wrong, cos I know most people hold this view - I probably do myself (maybe influenced by what came after).

It has to be factored in that post City, he was often absolutely steaming, whilst holding down manager jobs without reaching the heights he did originally at Everton.

The last Englishman to win the title was Wilkinson of dirty Leeds. A bit of a failure by this country.

And only two of the 20 Premier League clubs have an English manager/head coach; Newcastle and West Ham.

A disgraceful situation, considering the population of the country.

But understandable if the expert knowledge of football displayed by English ex-footballers in punditry is anything to go by. Was it 4 games in charge by the ex-manager Al-Sheerah, that Geordie Saudi legend.

Many of them demonstrate ignorance with "he got the ball", "what's the game coming to", "not in my day", "we've seen them given", "I want to see 11 men on the pitch", "there's no consistency", "he was offside but we should give the benefit of the doubt to the attacker" and other cliches that don't demonstrate a level of expertise on the PEP-level.

You have to look no further than the two buffoons, who are the main pundits on Sty's football coverage to realise why there are so few top level English coaches.
