The miserable fuckers who love slagging off our players are still here. Heard them too. There's always been arrogant banter i.e. small town in..., and practically every game I can remember from the second division that we won had [scoreline] in your cup final. No different to we'll score when we want in my opinion. There's always some underlying irony which I'd hope most fans will understand for what it is. As for general arrogance, I don't know. I expect to win the title because I believe we have the best side but is that arrogance or is it justified? We're top of the league with the best scoring and defensive records. Are Bluemoon meltdowns a sign of creeping arrogance? Possibly. We should never be above being beaten by a particular class of opposition, that probably is ragish behaviour. Just as long as we're not being consistently beaten by lower league opposition then it shouldn't be a cause for concern.
yeah....and what's it like to see a crowd at every small ground we took over.
Great days........arrogant as fk. Come on you blues.

Also threads saying 'When we win the league...' and not 'if'.
We just need to tone it down a little bit. Would be much better if we were humble, took defeats on the chin and just supported the team. We don't have a right to win every game and teams will defend for their lives against us. Let's just accept it, enjoy the challenge and go for it as best we can do. Then if we win it we can celebrate and if we don't then that's part of sport.
The majority of these threads lately are being done by WUM's.
The board is infested with them at them moment but unfortunately some people can't see it. The clues are there for all to see if you know what you're looking for?

Are we now arrogant? No more than we've ever been.
I knew City fans in our darkest days who could be seen as being "arrogant" due to their unwavering belief that the third division was still only a stopping off point before we eventually dominated the world! At that time we were hated by Preston, Burnley and Stockport County! At least now we have a better class of hater!
I worked in Lancashire when Blackburn went from 7,000 crowds to the best team in England. The same lads who followed them religiously while in the second division still followed them when they were successful.
Did their attitudes change? Of course they fucking did!
From talking about signing third division players to signing Gary Lineker or Alan Shearer is bound to change their perceptions and expectations!
Newcastle fans were the same.
The lads I've known suporting City for decades are still the same people, with the same amnbitions and fears they have always had. It's the perceptions of outsiders that say whether or not we've become arrogant. They think it, but it doesn't make it true.
For the kids on here, when City won their last title under Joe Mercer, we had fans still moaning!
It's the same at EVERY club. Don't fool yourself that we're somehow unique.
