1-0 Wigan was 65/1 so I put a typical city fiver on it.

I remember nearly doing that myself. Decided against. Bloody stupid. I bet on Stoke two years before and was delighted to lose the cash.

I usually back the team I don't want to see win so 18/19, 19/20, 21/22 made a lot of money out of Liverpool. £150 (£50 per game) spent on the last 3 Arsenal games (well spent imo, although that is effectively the money I won when I put £30 on them to beat Bournemouth when 2-0 down a few weeks ago), not got a bet on for tonight. Had £45 on United to beat us the day we should have won the title in 2018 and the £165 didn't soften the blow at all.

i actually ended up in profit in the end.

It's a comfort but God I hated that night. I never want to see anything like it again.

Same here! I won about £160. Hated it.

I put £40 on Bayern at 20/1 to go through to semi's just before the second leg. The reason being, that we had already booked and paid for flights and hotels to Madrid and it was a cheap insurance policy. Happily, Bayern didn't go through and we're off to Madrid on Sat 6th :-)

It's surely one of those odds that appears generous, but is probably realistic.

We've lost something like 12 league games at home since Pep arrived.

We haven't lost to Arsenal or Liverpool at home in the league during that time.

We haven't lost to Liverpool. That's the weird one for me. Our record against Arsenal is phenomenal. Maybe that's why the odds are so generous, maybe. Dunno.
