It is with a heavy heart, that I have had to bite the bullet, and decided not to renew. My daughter is nine months old now, and even with me and the missus both working. Were feeling the strain financially, I'm proper gutted. I'll have to plump for the blue membership for a while, till were back on our feet. I'll still be following the boys as often as finances allow, and I'm relishing taking the little one to her first game. I'll just have to be a bit thrifty for a while, and as Arnie once said. I'll be back.

i agree, we have other commitments as far as money is concerned. If season cards where only £200 bet you would get the money together somehow, like most of us we wouldnt think twice..

The old chestnut of 'its in my blood to carry on going' just cant be brought up any longer, we are talking serious amounts of cash at £500 plus for a season...

Im getting seriously pissed about the seating, the non standing not coming back, i love the games where we sing. I want to be involved in the game, have a tale to tell, not sit there being watched upon by hundreds of steward, police and cameras for "our own safety" . I agree with family areas, corporate boxes etc, but we have killed the general football supporters enjoyment.... Nights of great singing and atmosphere like when we beat the rags 1-0 to go top, should be every game, regardless of importance..

As far as football on the pitch is concerned, think we will see some beautiful footy next season..

had to give my s/c up for five years when the children were small (combination of reduced income due to working less hours to spend more time with the children and the increased costs of paying for nursery place). i know it's a while off but it will be worth it when your own junior blue want to go with you to the match, although another problem all together when she wants her own s/c! know a couple of blue members and if this season is anything to go by you'll be able to get tickets to most games if you're on the ball when tickets go on sale.

i`m really struggling. do i save my money and eat every day instead of skipping every wednesday.Or RENEW!? Do i give the missis money to alleviate her cronic pain.OR RENEW ?! Do i keep my kids on at their after school activities which they love.or RENEW? Do i help my parents attend the only day in the month that makes their life worth living.. OR RENEW??... I`m renewing.

Re: have you renewed ? are you going to? 3 days to decide !!

Renewed Platinum + all 3 Cup Schemes as it saves the hassle of messing around getting tickets for games that I am going to go to anyway.
I feel fortunate that I am able to without my family being affected.

All done and the 3 cup schemes. Lot of the cup games i will be unable to make but willing to take the financial hit in order for the points and priority

Re: have you renewed ? are you going to? 3 days to decide !!

All renewed here but cost a fortune for me as my brother in law didn't renew this year so transfered it to a junior for my twelve year old lad and he's well happy

I feel for people having to give up their tickets this year. we've all done it of course. when the kids were young the season ticket simply had to go. you buy a house and the same applies.

you'll all be back, you never stop being a blue. only by then you can bring your kid with you . nothing better :)

Cheers bluegirl, and de niro. I'd been thinking about it for some time. I knew it was the right decision, as my daughter will always come first. It's just when others put it like you have, it just solidifys it, and makes me feel a bit better. I realised I'll be no less of a blue, I've put more than my fair share into following the boys over the years, and I still will be. Just time to put family first, and as de niro said. It will be even better, when I can start bringing the little un with me. :-)
