Have your picture taken with the trophy?

Long wait but well worth it, trophy looks great. Also, apparently we won't have our name engraved on to it until the end of next season.

By the way, it is the 'real one' and it's off to Abu Dhabi on Friday......I guess the Sheik is allowed a gander at it!

Any idea what the queue is like late afternoon. I know yesterday was first day but anyone going today could you give an update. Reckon it will be busier as more people get to know and more taking kids after school etc.

Took my lad the other day to get his shirt printed and queue was over an hour so don't fancy that especially if it closes before you get to the front.

just been and had mine done, you can actually hold the trophy, but your not allowed to pick it up!!! and no mobile phone pics!!!

So it's like with the FA Cup last year :(

Not meaning to be a killjoy (can anything bring me down after this weekend?!?!?!?!) but it's a bit of a con.

You pay £10, and you get a badly printed picture of you where if you look carefully enough you can tell you've been "cut out" and "stuck on a background" (ie the edges of you look funny, esp your hair).
You can't use your own camera so you walk away with no jpeg or original - if you want to reprint you'd have to own a scanner..
And the biggest piss take is throughout the rest of the fa cup season people could have their picture against that green screen and the club would not only superimpose a background on - they'd put the cup on! The only give away is that your hands are not on it. That's the only difference between when it's there and when it's not! Mates of a friends kid teased him that the cup wasn't really there on his picture (when it was!) - it made him cry!

Point being, the old days of having a photo with a cup with a real backdrop or maybe a wall decked out in champions stuff would look much better than some green screen crap when you're cut out funny and it's hard to prove the trophy is really there as well! Take note city!!

/end of rant. Back to normal happy service ;)

If they engrave "Manchester City" this season, then they can save space for the next 10 seasons by just adding: "Ditto" each year ?

If it was the same one I saw (outside weatherspoons in piccadilly) it looked good but wasn't anything like 1:1 size was it?

Me and the wife had our pictures taken on Tuesday, I went for my champions shirt and spotted the trophy, Its not a bad price for a tenner, and this is the best time to get it done because the next time we wheel it out for pictures you will be queuing up with 1000s of kids! (which is not a bad thing ofcourse!) and for many hours, As it was we was there for about 30 minutes queuing for photos and shirt printing, (oh and dont wear anything green otherwise you will become part of the background!) there is a green stripe that goes round the bottom of the trophy stand this becomes apart of the background so makes it look like you have actually lifted the trophy of its stand
