Heart of Midlothian FC Thread

I see Steven McLean has the Hearts v Celtic game. Roundly criticised for a poor performance in the Rangers v Hearts game earlier in the season. Let’s hope this doesn’t affect his performance. I remember Cheating Beatons performance in a Rangers v Hibs game after not sending Joey Garner off for a ridiculous challenge on Dougie Imrie.

Up the top of Easter Road (where buses park) turn left. If I remember correctly that seemed a nice enough area.

I remember my parents selling my Grans house near the old Pringle factory / Water of leith. The money they got for one bedroom flat was ridiculous

Certainly changed days from the 1980s and Spud , Renton and Begbie days

It was on Hermitage Place. A real basic hotel but with comfy beds and a shower. Bowled in at 2:30 on Saturday morning and gone 1 on Sunday morning so we literally needed a bed and a shower.

We had a look round Tynecastle on Sunday. Looks a decent ground but much to my dismay, I let myself down by not finding a way to sneak in.

My old man was brought up on a Ground Floor Flat on Leith Walk. Same block as the Chinese Supermarket & Harp & Castle pub. Due to some family disputes over the years and people not talking no-one realised that my grandad was in a care home in Ferrylee.

Thankfully the family reconciled, and we basically found out that for a while my Papa was sleeping rough etc, & that squatters had taken up residence of the flat. A guy had very crudely split it in 2 and was renting it out to students making a pretty penny for doing so.

After a bit of a legal battle, the family got that flat back and immediately put it on the market. This was early 00's. It needed a full refurb, probably including joists the lot. Went on the market at offers over £89k and went for £160k in the end. I couldn't believe it. That was twice what my ex council semi detatched was worth at the time.

I wish. That was way back in the 00's. My papa at the time was getting his care paid for. Soon as the flat sale went through, the council took about £80k as back payment and he had to start paying over £2k a month until his money basically ran out.

I don't think Chad is far enough away for me this season unfortunately.

Last Celtic player that was Red carded in a league game in Scotland was the one that booted a Hearts player in the face. Rodgers made a helluva noise through the media even though in that same game Celtic were awarded the most ridiculous penalty
 
Won a few quid on Wardley stopping Parker last night, so fuck it a £10 win treble on Hearts, City and Barcelona today.
It would be rude not too
 
Serious question to our Hearts fans on here; do your lads have the balls to handle the inevitable pressure that will now come your way? You're in prime position now, obviously. 8 points clear of Celtic, and 11 clear of your neighbours. Plus a huge GD advantage. No one else is seriously in the title debate.
