There is absolutely no evidence of Russian involvement whatsoever….but I’m with you, seems very odd.
A lot of talk in the media about UK and France pushing ‘militarisation’ of the west…Russia not happy about that they want us to stay ‘toothless’…
.......but it wasnt his fault? It's just been on the bbc.
Apparently a scouser robbed the meter.
And our holidaySimilar thing happened at Manchester airport last June. Buggered my holiday up !
I used to work at a CEGB research site in Wythenshawe. One weekend gypos broke in and stole all the substation cabling, put us out of action for months. Basically they're scum of the earth and don't give a shit. All the reports are mentioning travellers, but harsh to blame the gypos if you ask me

The backup system was on the same site for goodness sake (shakes head).this is where my head went with it too. if it was the Russian's though they might well have found a flaw that prevented backup systems kicking in. Id like to think there will be backups of some form in place but that might just be for more critical systems rather than the whole place.

been there seen that...The backup system was on the same site for goodness sake (shakes head).
Wonder if the statutory risk assessment has been acted on? Or was it "in the pipeline", or even considered and declared satisfactory?been there seen that...
Ar'nt the transformers cooled by liquid (high flash temp esters) ?Bring investigated as Sabotage. Substations don't usually catch fire. They just ho bang with a burning electrics smell.
It is the backup generator that caught fire and did the damage.

Indeed - I know as part of an organisation providing 'infrastructure of national importance' this is a f**kin nightmare BUT also that it is uber important that its designed/implemented/regularly tested right!Wonder if the statutory risk assessment has been acted on? Or was it "in the pipeline", or even considered and declared satisfactory?
