Heaviest home defeat you've witnessed either at Maine Rd or the Etihad

Did you see it? Attendance just 11,500 or thereabouts according to the History section. Jesus, Grimsby! I'd forgotten they'd even got as high as the Second Division…
I was there!

It was the worst performance I can recall from that era. Apart from Ron Frost making the second of his two appearances for City having scored at Charlton on his debut, it was a fairly strong City team. Neil Young was not playing, neither was Jimmy Murray, but otherwise it was mostly first choices.

In the next home match, City beat Derby after going 3-0 up very quickly and producing brilliant attacking football. Although City were eventually hanging on for a 3-2 win.

My first season as a match-going fan was 62/63 …. pretty sure we got beat at home 1-6 by West Ham and Bert Trautmann was sent off for kicking the ball up the ref’s back side.

In true City form we lost by the same score at their place.

And yes - we were duly relegated.

Come on City.

I wasn't at the 0-4, but was at the 1-5. An absolute tonking only eased up when they eased off.

Think we failed to register a win over 18 games v Arse in that period, which including a run of 12 defeats in a row.
