Heaviest home defeat you've witnessed either at Maine Rd or the Etihad

Spurs in the FA cup in 93 wasn't the heaviest but it felt like it. So much hope before the game and typical City turned up.

Arsenal for me. At the etihad. They walloped us but us being us, we clapped them off the field. They were nothing short of magnificent that day.
I remember us chanting, "Can we play you every week" but I can't remember if it was at Maine Road or the Etihad - I think the Etihad. Weren't we 4-0 down at half-time?

we were away..interestingly 7 x clubs in the top flight that day from the old Lancashire County Boarders - there's never been a better footballing region / county

Don't even need to go so far back, in fact. 2011-12: Blackburn, Bolton, Wigan, the two Liverpool clubs, the the two Manchester clubs. Outside of London, easily the strongest county. There is an amazing tradition of footballing excellence in Lancashire. And when you add up smaller clubs like Rochdale, Oldham, Bury, Accrington, Preston, and take account of Burnley, who were once champions and who have been in the Premier League recently… (and Tranmere, Stockport and Macclesfield in the nearby county of Cheshire).

It was on a Saturday at Maine Road if we're talking about the 5-1 in 2003
I thought I was a mid week game as well tbf. I have vivid memories of that game as Arsenal absolutely wiped the floor with us that night and I think Henry was still on the bench along with a few others

The 0-5 against the dippers, who used to hammer us every time we played them early 80's.

I remember us beating them 1-0, a game that might have ended the sequence of thrashings. I think Kinsey scored.
