Thinking of a pit stop there next Saturday before the Burnley game. Anybody know much about this place? Is it ok or likely to be full of 6 fingered Burnley fans who will want to drag you off up the moors and eat you?

Very nice town and an interesting place to stop off.

It has tradionally been a very "alternative" town and did attract large numbers of lesbians and new age types looking for a refuge.

Now has been invaded by the middle classes because it's nice.

Not the sort of place to bowl around singing "We're City we're barmy", purely coz you'll look a tool, but not a place to get a kicking.

Get yourself upto Hollingworth Lake. If its a nice day, have a pint outside while admiring the scenery. Cant beat it.

Nice little idyllic place. I used to go drinking in the Stubbin Warf and the Trades when I used to go, but I've heard chavs are starting to take over.

Good place to score some substances though.
