Helen the bell ringer

My Dad had the bell in 1955 at Wembley that I remember .It was behind the Cotton Tree bar in Ancoats for years . Then he gave it to Helen some time later. I've posted before all about that bell.....

Now then! ...that's the second reference in this thread to the The Bell being involved in a skirmish..I heard it got used at Forest in the 70s by Helen,to protect young Blues,..now it seems Mr Bell got involved when utd got done 5-1 in 1989....I bet Bell could make his own vintage violence thread...

She certainly did - always looking out for everyone else. Anyone remember the bunch of inflatable bananas she used to attach to the fence behind the goals in the North Stand? Not one, but three of them as a set. I had to blow them up a few times. Did us a favour blocking the view to the pitch to be honest.

Ok this has been annoying me, people are claiming the bell is the original, but joe corrigan was on 5live on Monday and said it isn't the original because he has it. Did anyone hear it?

Having spoken with big Joe this is not true but he does own a bell that Helen gave him and one I remember as well
