See there we are again, another sly dig.

Probably boasting to all your little friends on Rag Issue about how you're winding up 'likkle ol' citeh'. It really does make me laugh.
look, it's not a dig it's a fact, i had high expectations of city this season. as a neutral i hope that the top 4 becomes any 4 from 6-8 at least and not just for a season but as a given. Spurs and villa should be pushing the bar up a level as well as you lot but i can't see it being straight forward at city. there seems to be too much work needed in all areas of the club.

As you state previously, you're not having digs as 'it's a fact' and then you say there seems to be too much work needed in all areas of the club, then i suggest you haven't done your homework as well as you thought you might. Bearing in mind our youth team are the current FA youth cup holders and have come pretty close in the previous seasons. This coupled with their academy displays of recent years and the production of several first team players, as well as ex academy players plying their trade for other teams (one of them raking in nearly £6mill in transfer fee) then you're obviously not as 'well read' as you think you are!
Any other pitfalls of our club that you'd like to point out?

[/quote] no, i did know about the FA youth cup. i also know that you were famed for your youth systems years ago. i'm totally appreciative of what that achievement means given that you have so many clubs in that area, two of them having the pulling power of united and liverpool. i don't really mean the youth set up, i mean unity within the club from the board to the cleaning staff. to have a settled ship you need consistency at City as with newcastle there always seems to be change in the wrong areas. this is only my opinion btw not an 'how to' blue print! ;0)

on forums of football teams in turmoil. it's a bit sick really, like looking at road traffic accidents.

here's my take on your current plight. i feel for mark hughes, he's got one hell of a job on at your place. he's come into manage a side that started to slide at the end of last season. he has a team there that has an embroidery of talent in it's first team but lacks the all over material to finish the dress- always the bridesmaid. On top of that he has to reassure the current playing staff that they are wanted whilst simultaneously looking at signing their replacements, even if he signs the creme from around the globe with the billions on offer, he still wont develope a squad, not of the current crop, other than the likes of shaun wright-phillips, ireland, dunn will stay on to be put on the bench.

i can only see things getting worse at city, unfortunately. A because i doubt he'll be given time to turn it around (wether you stay up or not) and B because it's hard to attract anyone other than mercenaries when you are offering big wages in such an unattractive league position. What you need is a good cup run, get some hunger and joy in the club and build slowly. i doubt there is a quick fix despite the money available.
fuck off statto!

listen mate. do you not realise? you're not allowed to have an opinion on this forum, not a critical one anyway, unless it's to agree that 'mark hughes is a genius and his signings of bellamy and parker will pave the way to boundless glories.'

...and this is why rags call us "bitter".

Bunch of children.

Completely agree mate. Some city fans on here need to grow up. Just because a fan of football has and opinion that's shared by just about everybody including ourselves at the moment doesn't make him a rag, nor does he deserve abuse.

No wonder this forum has such a bad reputation sometimes. Its let down by the minority who think they are solid in the head on the other end of a keyboard.
