Derek Parlane and Jim Tolmie .....

an early-mid eighties partnership .....

a combination that worked briliantly because of 'telepathy' ..... one , Tolmie , was a player who had all the skill you could ever wish to see , and a footballing 'brain' to accompany it ...... the other , Parlane , was a just a clinical finisher , who probably averaged a goal every two games whilst here.
this^^^^^^^^^^^

tolmie was fantastic for a season very tricky and skilful but fizzled out ended up playing in belgium, parlane was tall and more of a target man but had an eye for goal he was brought in from rangers and was nearing the end of his career, the good old days

a poor mans keegan/toshack partnership

If it's not been said, Cole and Vassell was a deadly one. Shame it was cut short by that bastard 'arry robbing us off Cole.

Francis Lee and Wyn Davies.....shame it only lasted one season.

Yep, fantastic partnership. Malcolm Allison`s biggest mistake was selling Davies after he bought Rodney Marsh. He should have used Marsh as a back up and left Lee and Davies to keep terrorising defences.
