Help Required - Palace game 16th Jan

There are 9,000 foils to place in the stand, understandably we need a team of 40 - 50 people to do this, it will take about 3 hours to layout hence the 9.30am start this saturday morning.

So far we have a team of 20, if we dont reach 40 then we can not display. It would be a shame not to do the display just because we didnt have enough people to help. Im personally out of pocket for the time being having paid up front for the foils along with other guys.

If anybody fancies helping out saturday morning please let us know, its a laugh laying out the foils plus rewarding when you see the final display on kick off.

I'm not going to be able to see this am I?

I normally sit in family but have gave my seat to a friend and got a seat ik south level 3 haven't been there before but I'm guessing you can't see much of level 1 south

still could do with a few more if poss... all those people who say "we don't know how to get involved with 1894" well this is how ! our door is always open - but you must be committed !
changing the culture of a ground and building atmosphere don't just happen automatically - it requires people to get involved. meeting place is colin bell reception at 930 if anyone can bob along, no under 16s though, club only allows adults for some reason. cheers

Offer was there but as you said no u16.. Which is prity daft as my 10' year old and his 11 year old m8 would have probably been able to place more out then me , and according to my mrs are better behaved then me in the ground ... Dumb rule from the club

The offer of help is much appreciated, we asked the club but the reason was down to insurance policy / health and safety.. The modern day eh :-(

Thanks to everyone that turned up to help out - it was much appreciated. We were a fair few short of wanting to do the 3rd tier but were still going to give it a go until the fire alarm went off up there just after they'd started laying the foils out so we had to abandon displaying up in tier 3.

As such, we had to concentrate on levels 1 and 2 only - it was a decent display but as always with these things the effectiveness is diluted a little due to people that haven't yet taken their seats. Plus there appeared to be some that were in their seats who didn't bother holding their foils up!

It still looked class mate!!
I don't get to every game but if I'm in MCR (like Spurs) when you're making a display I wouldn't mind coming over to help

But come on people not a big thing to get to seats early for display and then hold foils up for a while

Great effort

Great effort made fella, but in my opinion, I think you'd be better investing in a huge crowd surf banner that covers two blocks

Honestly, I didn't even noticed said display.

You weren't there??? It was noticeable draped over empty seats. I must admit I was slightly, only slightly, disappointed. I was hoping that when the teams came out the South Stand would reverse all the sheets and it would reveal a rather poignant message. Something like Fuck off, Roger East!, or, It's a fuckin' pen, Jonny!

It looked good but I couldn't make out if it was a pattern or was spelling something. What did it say?
