Gave him a tenner without any stipulations.

So i do when circumstances allow i.e. Time and being in the physical location of homeless people.

He was an ex soldier to ashamed to ask for help, i felt fucking awful for him.
I wish him the very best, he did not booze amazingly and was on a list for a bedsit.

Once had a 'Romanian' type woman hold out her hand outside our local Lidl. She had a couple of euros and about 70 cents in change in it. I took it, kindly thanked her and walked into the shop. Her face was a picture. Cant stand the mooching fuckers, usually pissed or drugged up, with an oily dog.

We should not have anyone homeless, we are the 6th richest country on the planet. Yet we have homeless, foodbanks and rising child poverty.

I feel ashamed to live here at times

As for my own experiences, I give sometimes and other times I don't.

I've had chats with some. I remember bumping into a guy really late at night asking for money, gave him a fiver that was in my pocket.

He started crying, thanking me. Was quite odd but I felt fucking gutted for him.
