I would rather have Hughes tbh.

are you serious?!
Yeah. The style of football he plays is not as good as what Hughes has shown so far. Inter looked average against the rags.

Chelsea fans said they played better football under Avram Grant than Mourinho. Hughes can be successful he just needs time like he has shown already.

Do you mean winning?

Not want we want at City. Perish the thought!!!

Hughes has shown fuck all so far. Does he have it? I don't know TBH. But I would swap him for Mourinho yesterday given the chance.

Someone mentions Mourinho and all of a sudden stability goes out the window and everyone goes mental and gets hyped up just because he's a bit of a character who's won a trophy or two.

Best manager going, and I wouldn't mind 1 or 2 trophies.

Even if he did come in I couldn't see him staying here very long. He's the kind of manager that moves around a lot. We need stability even if the bloke is a genius.

Exactly. Hughes will get it right. Jose will take the united job when Taggart retires/snuffs it.

We dont need Mourinho now, we need to give Hughes at least one more full season. One one hand Hughes deserves a chance with his own players 'bedded in' and on the other hand we cant keep changing managers every season, which means a fresh start each time.

Too true!

I've noticed in the past that some managers go through a 'purple patch', where everything they do goes right, but it doesn't last.

Just suppose that Mourinho has reached the end of his patch and Hughes is about to enter his....

After all, John Bond came to us with a good record; so did Howard Kendall and what about Allison's second coming?

No way - why would he do that - you can only lose. City is a much better prospect and challenge.
