Tired of so-called pundits or ex-pros trotting this out for a justification of why Pellers can't win the league. I mean, so f==cking what? It is arrogant in the extreme to think managing a team in England is much different to managing abroad. Players may take time to settle with the physicality and the weather but managers don't. It;s funny how the same has-beens who trot out this shite often plug Mourinho, who first won the league having, at that point, "never managed in England" and sing the praises of serial "English" failures like Redknapp and Bruce, or who were English and couldn't manage a piss-up in a brewery at home or abroad (Barnes, Robson et al). Wonder if the Dutch said of Schteve McLaren "well, he's never managed in Holland", I doubt it.

The definition of pundit is, "An expert in a particular subject or field who is frequently called on to give opinions about it to the public."

So as far as football goes, we're inundated with Talking Bollocks pundits, because that's what they appear to be experts in. It's very wearing, reading or listening to these idiot savants bleating on about how Pellegrini can't win the PL because he's never managed in England before, despite the fact that Mourinho managed it on the first time of asking and Mancini did it on his second proper stab at it. And then these same fools are applauding Moyes on his "first" trophy - the implication being there'll be more, despite the fact he's never managed to win anything in the past.

I suspect pundits are chosen for their ability to talk crap, or have at some point played for Liverpool.

Re-arrange this well known saying:

'straws clutching at'

Meaning:

'Try any route to get out of a desperate situation, no matter how unlikely it is to succeed'.

A lot of people on here think it is a good reason that we will not win trophies this season.

Speaks very good English already and it will not take him long to adapt even further imho.

Neither had Mourinho. Neither had Wenger. It's simply a 'sound bite'.
Don't forget Ancelotti.
