Jose Chilavert (Goalkeeper, Paraguay): 74 games, 8 goals
Rene Higuita (Goalkeeper, Columbia): 68 games, 8 goals
Emile Heskey (Striker, England): 59 games, 7 goals
What fucking chance have we got?

to anyone who is really optimistic about Englands chances this time around.....ask yourself one question.......

how likely is it that any team led up front by Emile Heskey can win the world cup?

he brings more to the team than just goals.
lets not forget his defensive qualities, but for heskey we would have to play camel gob at the back.
i fully appreciate his contribution so far.

You can add Crouch to that as well

Not the beautiful game when that lanky streak of p**s is on the pitch

Not the beautiful game at all............................................................

I don't understand why England must insist on playing old fashioned football. Its horrible to watch and it just doesn't work.

Heskey shouldn't be near the England team, yet he always will be due to the fact England always play route 1 football.

tbf heskey was amazing on sat especially in the first half he isn't in the team to score, he's a team player and he does his job excellently. don't get me wrong i'd love to see England playing more attacking football and not require hesky but we haven't got the forwards to do so effectively, and if anyone says we should play crouch i want names and addresses he's shite and his 'impressive' goal scoring record is mearly down to scoring in friendly games against shite teams; uraguay, hungary, jamacia, trinidad, greece, andora macedonia, estonia, austria, croatia, urkraine, belarus, egypt and mexico, only one was scored in a major finals (against trinidad) and 9 in qualifiers (only 1 of which was a winning goal and that was against macedonia) crouch is the berbatov of England.

out of instrest does anyone know heskys assist record?

please excuse spelling im very hung over

So we're playing a centre forward not to score goals.

Heskey shouldn't have been on the fucking plane. Capello even said that players had to be playing regularly for their club to be selected for England and Heskey couldn't get a start for Villa.
If Capello wanted a player who can hold the ball up to bring others into play, create space for his strike partner, score goals, been first choice all season for his club and had just a brilliant season, I give you Bobby Zamora.
