Darn Hill, the Summit, aaaaahhhh brings back such happy memories

I used to watch "exotic dancers" on a sunday afternoon in a pub in darn hill. I think it was called the criterion.

I remember going in a boozer there that had the dubious pleasure of being the first pub for miles around to have cctv in the bar.

Sunday mornig footy on the pitches by the flats was always interesting. We had a match abandoned after the locals chucked a telly on the pitch from the flats.

We may have the misfortune of being under Fail council. But we are far from in Rochdale. We are a town within our own right.

And Buzzer it's there or there abouts. Hardly ever changes.

For the pubs that's also true. And we were also one of the biggest cotton producing towns in the world at one point I believe.
