Hiddink - Kaka bid immoral

When football managers of the calibre of Hiddink, who 'knows and understands' the game thoroughly at club and international level, starts to moralise and pontificate on the seedy business of professional sport, which has afforded him a substantial living over the years, it is time to reach for Hermann Goering's revolver.

eheheh, as usual you give me a chuckle Dave.

Bit rich coming from the manager of a club who's owner gained his wealth from the corrupt Russian government selling him gas fields for next to fuck all.....

And this from a guy who is a tax dodger, pretending to live in Belgium while all along living in Holland. That is immoral.

Taxation is immoral.

Hiddink isnt having a go at city. He made a decent point. Where does morality come into it? 10mill, 50mill 100 mill? Personally I don't see how paying the value of something , whether it be 100 quid or 100,000,000 quid, is immoral at all.

Same goes for wages. All the money that goes through football (because it is the biggest sport on the planet), I'd rather it go into the hands of the actual players than into the pockets of a few directors.

Papers Today:

Ronaldo new 180k a week contract.

Real Madrid lining up 80 million bid for Gerrad.

Wonder if anyone comments on these being immoral

Had to laugh at his comments about history and not money being important when it comes to gaining success.

Does he have a clue about Chelsea "history"?

All in all, very disappointing comments from someone I have a lot of respect for and once would have hoped to have at the club as manager.

This whole immoral issues is just meaningless !!

Players in the NBA are sold for 100 millions and no one came out and said this is Immoral. When madrid paid juve 70 million euros for zidane almost 10 years ago no one said this is wrong or immoral. And as a result madrid benifited alot from buying zidane (they've won the champions league that year thanks to him). So clubs knows what good or bad for them. 100 mil euros looks alot (and it is alot) but clubs are managed by profisionals who know how to make money from marketing players images, selling more tickets plus getting extra T.V revenues if that superstar was in the team. The whole argument is just dump IMO....

Hiddink has joined the anti city party.....

Chelsea’s temporary manager also labelled City’s £105m pursuit of AC Milan superstar Kaka as ‘immoral’.
Hiddink added: “With Kaka then yes, it’s immoral. But where are the boundaries where it is moral or not?
“Is it with £10m or £100m? It is difficult to say whether it’s immoral for £100m but £50m is moral.”

£50M is moral, £100 is immoral WTF

It's not immoral then for Chelsea to spend over £500 to become a top 4 club?

Wow i cant believe so many people on here are taking this the wrong way, please just read the damn quote again and realise that the first bit is taken out of context; "With Kaka then yes, it’s immoral." clearly he is relating that to something else. And the bit after that; "It is difficult to say whether it’s immoral for £100m but £50m is moral.” HE IS NOT SAYING THAT 50m IS MORAL.

I'm an Aussie and i don't care who he is managing, i will defend guus till i die. But in this case he doesn't need defending because he hasn't said anything wrong, he is just being misunderstood.
