I think he was a very good player and was gutted when he left. At the time Everton were one of the big clubs and some high profile players had joined them in the preceding years - Cottee, Nevin, McCall etc.
He was a good attacking full back with great crossing ability and too the most effective corners I can remember. I think Pep would love a modern version of him.

However, since taking up media work, it is now apparent that he is a weapons-grade bell-end. Not a penalty my arse!

Think he was horribly snide last night. Nothing new with tripod face. Quinn was a real hero for me; these days like this mercenary he can spend his days arselicking the red cheeks like other media whores.

There are good guys out there like Micah, Ned who is terrific Gaz Baz, Joleon the Zab Big Nige. Of the non City pundits it's very thin pickings: Souness and arguably dog botherer. Dunno if Don Goodman is still on as I don't have Sly or bt. Savage has been better too. Think Alex Scott and Tim Cahill are genuinely decent too.
