A story a mate of mine told me a long long time ago sticks in my memory

He is a painter / decorator and worked on a big job at Platt Lane when the players trained there in the late 80’s / early 90’s

they used to see the players and staff all the time and chat to them. He told me Howard Kendall was a lovely bloke, Clive Allen was the friendliest of a really good bunch.. but there was one player who was a tosser. Wouldn’t give them the time of day, blanked them, looked down his nose at them, and generally strutted round like he owned the place... yep you guessed it.. Hinchcliffe
